Thomas Flook (Snr.), Wine & Brandy Merchant, formerly of Gloucester Lane, St. Philip & Jacob, but late of Ashley Place, St. Paul's, (he'd retired when the partnership with Samuel was dissolved 15 Oct. 1831) died on 21 Oct. 1838 aged 75. Samuel Gayner Flook died on 28 January 1839 and was buried in St. Philip & Jacob's church on 2 February. In 1830 he had been a liquor merchant living at Ashley Place with his brother Thomas. They were in the same area in 1837. After his death, his brother Thomas took over the business. Thomas was admitted to the Royal Clarence lodge of freemasons, Bristol, on 2 Mar. 1842.
The company was still trading in 1861 in Gloucester Lane but the license was transferred to James Drew on 14 Jan. 1862. Thomas died at Rudgeway (between Almondsbury and Thornbury near Bristol) on 28 April 1870, and was buried at Fishponds on 4 May, he was survived by his widow Charlotte.
